Connected 2017 Highlights
The second ever SMMT Connected conference brought together more than 400 delegates from across industry, including 20 world-class speakers and 40-plus members of the media.
With connected and autonomous technology set to revolutionise the future of the automotive industry, SMMT Connected 2017 provided an opportunity for the UK Automotive and Technology sectors to showcase and discuss the latest developments and challenges surrounding connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs).
The event also provided the opportunity to launch a new SMMT report commissioned from Strategy& part of the PwC network, ‘Connected and Autonomous Vehicles: Revolutionizing Mobility in Society‘ to explore how CAVs could radically transform millions of lives and particularly those not able to travel as freely as others. The study found that connected & autonomous vehicles will improve quality of life for 6 in 10 people with limited mobility in the UK.
