Music Business Guest Speakers at SAE Chicago

SAE Institute Chicago’s Music Business class hosted two special guests to discuss legal issues within the music and entertainment industry.

Brent D. Butcher is a full-time attorney and journalist, which provides him two different perspectives of the industry. He began writing about the Chicago music community for his website during the summer of 2011, providing him a creative outlet for him during his time as a law student at DePaul University.

Eddie Sanders, Esq. is the founder of Freshly Baked Records, an indie label created in Chicago. He is also a practicing attorney with a focus on entertainment law. His experience on both the creative and business side of the music industry has given him a balanced perspective to visualize future concerns and issues that musician clients will need to have addressed. Eddie’s passion for music and growth of the industry has led him to speak at John Marshall Law School and Atlanta’s A3C festival.
